Travel+Beauty: Memebox Superbox #28 Free From Oil & Trouble 3 Unboxing and Review

Here we go, another Memebox! This time it's my first Superbox; Free From Oil & Trouble 3 ($32 + $6.99 shipping). This arrived a couple of weeks ago and I waited to post this as I wanted to try out the products first. Super boxes are different from the regular Memeboxes as they contain only full-sized products catered to specific needs. Each Superbox series comes with it's own theme, designed to target particular concerns. I have oily, acne-prone skin so this box was a no-brainer for me, plus I'd seen the previous Free From Oil & Trouble boxes which looked great. Here's the description from the info card:

"Tired of being a shiny face Cinderella by the time the clock hits 12? Turn down the shine and control excessive sebum with our Free From Oil & Troubles #3! This box is the ultimate go-to box for covering those pesky little pimples, treating blemishes, keeping skin matte all day and soothing troubled yet sensitive skin. Our oil absorbing products are proven to work-fast, so that your skin is left refreshed, smooth, blemish free, and healthy-looking!"

Nails: Black and Gold Distressed Dry Brush Manicure

Posts have been a little nail-heavy lately, huh? Sorry about that, more variety coming soon, I promise!
Here's a look at this week's #ManicureMonday from my Instagram - a cool black and gold look that is stupidly easy to recreate.

Nails: Manicure Monday - Minx & Deckchair Inspired

Happy Monday! Yes, I know that almost everybody hates Mondays. Today I have a cheerful summer manicure inspired by a Minx pedicure I recently saw and also deckchairs - basically stripes in fun colors.
I used all drugstore brands including my current favourite - 2True. (I can forgive their awful name because all the polishes in their Fast Dry formula that I have tried have been amazing AND they're only £2 each)

Nails: L.vida - Pink Orange - Swatches, Review and Nail Art

Today I have some swatches of the nail polish I received in Memebox Global #12. There were 10 colors available - I got Pink Orange which I am more than happy with. I'd probably describe it as a coral but it does look more pink with just 2 coats and leans orange the more you apply.

Travel+Beauty: Memebox 12 Unboxing

Subscription boxes are fascinating to me; I could watch unboxing videos for hours on YouTube. I've previously tried a couple out, but never committed to a service and instead satisfy my curiosity by watching the afore mentioned videos. A little while back though, I found myself ordering a Memebox; Luckybox #4 to be precise. I was so impressed by the range and quality of products that I bought 3 more plus some products from the Memeshop. (What? I love Asian beauty and everything cute. They keep emailing me sales and offers. Don't look at me like that).

The first of these boxes to arrive was the Memebox Global #12 ($23 + $6.99 shipping) and here are the contents for those of you who have the same sick completely normal obsession as me.

Memeboxes come with a little information card - mine had all the correct products on but the message from Memebox Global #10, who knows why? I certainly don't care, just look at all those products!

Nails: The Easiest French Manicure ft Nail Vinyls

You know what I really don't like? Boring things. Sandwiches, British soaps (make that British TV in general), cricket and French manicures. I really do not get the appeal of the French manicure considering all the awesome polish colors and nail art around. Having said that a) they're nice for job interviews b) also nice if you are a professional WAG and c) I've paid for a fair few over the years. I used to get my nails done at salons and would occasionally opt for French tips, usually though I'd get some nail art or gems added.
I guess part of the reason for my dislike is that I've always found them impossible to replicate at home either free-hand or with those little guides you can buy.
Earlier this year I discovered Nail Vinyls and I purchased some chevrons and single chevrons - they are fantastic and basically foolproof! Linda often announces discount codes and sales on her Instagram so when she launched her new site, I decided to grab some more including, yes, French tips.

For my first manicure with these, I couldn't think of what color tips to paint so I went with classic (yawn) white just to see how they'd turn out and also because I had a brand new white polish to try. Here's how they turned out:
