Travel+Beauty: Memebox 12 Unboxing

Subscription boxes are fascinating to me; I could watch unboxing videos for hours on YouTube. I've previously tried a couple out, but never committed to a service and instead satisfy my curiosity by watching the afore mentioned videos. A little while back though, I found myself ordering a Memebox; Luckybox #4 to be precise. I was so impressed by the range and quality of products that I bought 3 more plus some products from the Memeshop. (What? I love Asian beauty and everything cute. They keep emailing me sales and offers. Don't look at me like that).

The first of these boxes to arrive was the Memebox Global #12 ($23 + $6.99 shipping) and here are the contents for those of you who have the same sick completely normal obsession as me.

Memeboxes come with a little information card - mine had all the correct products on but the message from Memebox Global #10, who knows why? I certainly don't care, just look at all those products!

Product 1: Ryo - Anti-Hair Loss Treatment - Sample 50ml (Full size 200ml - $12)

Description: Infused with biota seed, coix seed, green tea and gold extracts, this hair treatment will not only prevent hair loss but also re-energize and strengthen thin, damaged hair. Its excellent cooling formula wil gently soothe and nourish your scalp at the same time.

Use: Apply generously over wet hair and massage into scalp with your fingertips. Wait 2-3 minutes before rinsing off with warm water. Use daily.

Thoughts: Luckily, I don't suffer with this problem but I do sometimes have itchy scalp (the water is crazy-soft where I live) so I will try this out. It's a beige-colored cream and smells earthy and sweet.

Product 2: Banila Co. - Claypatra Mineral Salt Clay Pack - Sample 12g (Full size 100g - $21)

Description: The 100% pure mud extracted straight from the Dead Sea (consisted of 32% salt and minerals) effectively removes any excess sebum, dead skin and external pollutants clogged up in your pores. The mineral-rich formula also delivers deep hydration and nourishment to the skin.

Use: Spread an adequate amount of the clay pack evenly over your face. Rest for about 10 minutes and rinse off with warm water. Gently massage with your fingertips to exfoliate dad skin cells while rinsing.

Thoughts: The packaging is too cute! It even has a map of the Dead Sea on the box and little hieroglyphics on the pot! Even if this is awful, it looks amazing. Smells fruity, looks like your classic grainy-gray, paste mud mask.

Product 3: Plagentra - White Mark Cream - Sample 15g (Full size 100g - $38)

Description: Ever been stressed over stretch marks on your belly or on your thighs? Plagentra's White Mark Cream will be your life-saver, with it's scientifically approved formula to treat overly stretched skin and balance out any uneven skin tone on your body.

Use: Apply generously on areas with stretch marks. Use 2-3 times daily for best results.

Thoughts: Stretch marks are gross, I'll try this for sure. It's a white cream consistency and has a super-light fragrance. Really cute packaging again, look at the little zebra!

Product 4: Plagentra sample sachets of lotion, cream and massage gel.

These are pretty much the same as above but with added steps. You don't need me to retype the same info.

Product 5: L.vida Nail Polish - Full Size - $7

Description: L.vida's popular nail polish line comes in vibrant, trendy colors, each packaged with a lovely flower bouquet around its neck. These nai colors are highly acknowledged for their high-end, long-lasting finish as well.

Use: Apply the nail polish carefully on each of your nails and wait until it dries completely.

Thoughts: Yes! I love nail polish and the one I received in Luckybox #4 was amazing. Out of the 10 that were available in this box, I got Pink Orange - pretty eh? I was eyeing these up during the recent 50% off sale but managed to resist. I'll post a review and swatches ASAP.

Product 6: Inter-cos - Smooth Sensitive Removal Cream - Full Size - $43

Description: This unique spray-type removal cream allows you to remove any unwanted hair from even the most sensitive areas of the body.

Use: Make sure to cleanse and dry the area you wish to remove hair. Apply the removal cream abundantly and wait for 15-20 minutes. Then, with a wet towel, wipe away all loosened hair. You may have to use the cream more than once for a perfect removal.

Thoughts: Cool, spray hair-removal! It smells just like the ones that come in tubes and the packaging says it can be used on legs, armpits and bikini line. It's summer so I will give this a go on my legs, let me know if y'all want a review.

Product 8: Palan - Crysence Organic Essence - Full Size - $72

Description: Highly Praised by beauty experts and hair designers, Palan's famous hair essence is a non-greasy lotion type treatment for dry, damaged hair that you don't have to wash off. Made from natural herbal ingredients, it's extremely gentle and deeply moisturizing.

Use: Towel dry hair after shampooing and apply the hair essence evenly throughout your hair. For long hair, pump 1-15 times. For medium length hair, pump 9-11 times. For short hair, pump 6-8 times. Then, dry your semi-wet hair to finish off.

Thoughts: I have really long hair that gets dry at the ends so I'm interested to try this. It comes in a huge bottle and seems to be a totally weightless cream that smells like peach yoghurt - this is a good thing. I always use either a serum or cream on my hair before drying so if I love this, it will get used up in no time.

Overview: Another fantastic box packed with products that are perfect for summer. I'm most excited by the Palan hair treatment, the nail polish (duh) and the Claypatra mask but honestly I'm not disappointed to receive any of these products - I will try each one out!
A lot of people comment on the value of subscription boxes but I bought this just because I wanted to try some fun Korean beauty products. That being said though, just look at prices of those last 2 products and tell me it isn't great value. I paid for the standard shipping for this box and the previous one I purchased; both arrived about 6-8 days after I got a tracking number email. My orders from the shop arrived quickly too.

Where: Memebox Global - $15 - $30 + shipping.
